That is a huge question. It causes you to ask a whole series of questions:
Does God still speak to men/women?
Have I ever heard His voice?
What if I can't do what He asks me to do?
Of course, I would add to that list:
Do you set time aside to hear from God?
Do you ask Him what you should be doing?
Do you pray?
Do you read your Bible?
James 1:22-25
New Living Translation (NLT)
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
You may be surprised at the number of times God speaks to us through His holy words as written in the Bible. Do you read more than single verses? Have you ever read an entire book in the Bible?
Take 15 minutes out of your day today and read the book of Ephesians. It's just 6 short chapters. Then take a moment and ask God what he wants you to do.
This is so true! I have noticed the area in my life where I slip up and I believe being aware is important.
